To be hosted in Dubai, one of Expo 2020’s main themes is the issue of mobility: how we move, explore and connect is central to Expo 2020’s desire to make a lasting difference to the region and the worldwide community. The Mobility Pavilion aims to connect people, providing the opportunities and facilities to allow them to do business, collaborate and access knowledge, innovation and solutions which will enable regional and global communities to develop for the future. Designed by internationally recognised and respected architects Foster + Partners, the Mobility Pavilion occupies a 12,000 m. sq. plot with 4,000m. sq. of exhibition space which, following close of the Expo, will become home to unique, high-end office space.
The Mobility Pavilion represents a key Expo 2020 theme. Omnium shares the values of innovation, knowledge and creating opportunity, and we are passionate about delivering services that will create a beautiful, practical and sustainable development.
Delivering pre and post contract QS services on the Mobility Pavilion, Omnium is delighted to be involved not only in this project but in the provision of services to Expo 2020 on the Sustainability Pavilion and to architect Santiago Calatrava on the UAE Pavilion. Led by Director Nicholas Harris, Omnium’s team plays a key role in the management of costs across all three projects. It is critical that these unique developments are delivered on budget without compromising their stunning designs. The Mobility Pavilion, a flowing trefoil-shaped structure, complements the Expo’s sub-theme of connections and movement and, as the development moves onsite, our team will continue to ensure that this core value of the project is reflected throughout its build.
Working closely in partnership with Emaar Properties, key developer for Expo 2020, and Foster + Partners, Omnium delivers expert QS services both within our large regional Dubai branch office and onsite. Omnium’s large UAE-based team has allowed us to fully support the delivery of Expo 2020 throughout all stages, with the Mobility Pavilion no exception. Valuable Middle East experience means we are familiar with the challenges facing construction in this unique environment, and our excellent client relationships deliver an unparalleled consistency of service. We are incredibly proud to be involved in the development of the exceptional Mobility Pavilion and the values it represents; Dubai’s dynamic community presents a perfect backdrop to this movement and connection-focused project.
