A focal point of the DMCC Jumeirah Lake Towers Free Zone commercial and trading hub, and the first completed building in the Uptown Dubai District, Uptown Tower’s 81-storey mixed-use structure is home to Grade A office space which includes DMCC’s new headquarters, a 188-key, 5-star luxury SO/Uptown Dubai-branded hotel, exclusive restaurants, and 229 first-class SO/ branded residences. Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Uptown Tower’s stunning façade is inspired by the facets of diamonds as a nod to the successful trade of precious gems in the Free Zone. Sustainability is at the forefront of the building’s design. Achieving LEED Gold status, Uptown Tower’s sustainability features include electric vehicle charging points, reduced energy usage and costs, water conservation strategies and intelligent planting schemes to create shade.
Uptown Tower is another excellent addition to Omnium’s portfolio of high-rise, super-tall and mega-tall structures. Making a statement in Dubai’s JLT district, Uptown Tower celebrates the region’s trading and economic success, whilst creating a sustainable and visually striking platform for future development.
Omnium’s regional Dubai branch team was appointed by DMCC to provide full pre- and post-contract Commercial Management services to Uptown Dubai’s Uptown Tower. Based both on site and at our local office, experienced Cost Consultants and Commercial Managers delivered specialist early concept cost planning, contract tender and award, post-contract administration, variation and final account services to bring Uptown Tower’s spectacular structure to life, working alongside our client and its appointed consultants to establish excellent working partnerships, backed by strong communication and a shared vision for this exciting project.
Our team’s unmatched knowledge of Dubai’s continually-evolving high-rise landscape contributed exceptional added-value expertise to the development of Uptown Tower. The sustainability credentials of this LEED Gold-certified project make a positive step forward in the future of development in the UAE, making no compromise on finish to ensure the completed structure meets the expectations of our client, its brand operators and tenants whilst efficiently managing its impact on both indoor and external environments. Omnium’s strength-in-depth team and strong client relationships brought phase 1 of this striking project into operation in 2023, with phase 2 now underway.
