Al Khobar Lakes, situated close to Dammam and Al Khobar City on the east of Saudi Arabia, comprises a low-rise development of over 2,000 family villas set in beautifully landscaped surroundings. Al Khobar Lakes was designed and planned to create new communities, complemented by leisure, retail, healthcare, worship and education facilities, and villas featuring high-specification communication technologies to enable families to stay connected.
The successful development of Al Khobar Lakes has allowed Omnium to establish itself in Saudi Arabia as a residential development QS with expertise in low-rise family accommodation. We are proud to have worked alongside Emaar Middle East in creating a community for the future.
Working with Emaar Middle East, we were appointed to deliver full pre and post contract QS services to both Phases 1 and 2 of the Al Khobar Lakes Development. The project scope was wide, encompassing the construction of around 300 villas of 16 different styles, including associated external and landscaping works. Omnium also handled the project’s considerable infrastructure, including rough grading, deep and shallow services, plant and landscaping works across the development to a gross leasable area of over 540,000 square metres.
Omnium International’s extensive Gulf-based team has built a strong working relationship with Emaar in the UAE for over 35 years, and we are delighted to have continued this in KSA with the Al Khobar Lakes Development. Our Saudi based team demonstrated valuable sector expertise to support Emaar Middle East from the pre-contract right through to post-contract and final account settlement stages, ensuring that the client’s budget was managed appropriately and efficiently throughout.
