About the role:

We are looking for a superstar Document Controller to provide valuable support to our fast-growing team in Abu Dhabi.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
  • Input document data into the standard registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date.
  • Generate the various document control reports as required.
  • Typing of site documents, and follow up of all the site needs.

About the role:

A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and passionate MEP Construction Manager to join our fast-growing PM Services division in Dubai, UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of MEP systems for our portfolio on construction projects across the UAE. This will include project planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The MEP Construction Manager will be our key point of contact representing Omnium on all MEP related activities on the project.
  • Liaise effectively with Designers, Engineers, the Supervision Consultant, Contractors, and Sub-Contractors to ensure the projects’ MEP systems are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Review and, where required provide comment, on MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Agree progress monitoring methods with the Omnium PM Team then the Employer, monitor the progress of the work in accordance with these methods.
  • Report to the Omnium Project Team and or Employer on the MEP aspects of the project in a format and at a frequency agreed with the Omnium PM Team and or Employer.
  • In the event that any aspect of the project appears likely to fail to achieve the Employer’s objectives, agree suitable corrective action with the Omnium PM Team and Employer. Monitor the implementation of the agreed actions and report progress.
  • Provide MEP construction management expertise, guidance and assistance to the Omnium PM Team and or Employer as required.
  • Monitor the Supervision Consultant’s performance of its duties.
  • Chair MEP construction meetings as required by the Omnium PM Team and or Employer.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role for Omnium as we continue our growth in KSA. They will lead the efficient delivery of the Project Control lifecycle in all aspects of the programmes, as well as support with the successful project delivery through integration of Planning, Cost Management, Risk and Quality Management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and update the existing processes, procedures and documents related to Projects Controls.
  • Participate and provide input in technical and commercial proposals.
  • Manage staff of schedulers and cost estimators performing schedule analysis, cost impact analysis and preparing independent estimates as part of the change and cost control process Assist in preparation of the final project report.
  • Prepare and review all tender programme submissions.
  • Proactive identification and mitigation of project and business risks through proper planning, staffing and execution of assignment.
  • Planning and overseeing development for all newly awarded projects
  • Communicate and report on project management metrics to leadership regularly.
  • Coach and train employees in project management and control procedures while driving accountability for results.
  • Provide financial performance reviews on project execution and schedule.
  • Drive the use of digitization strategy for project control process software systems and tools.
  • Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures and project execution plans.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years’ post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with 5+ years working in the Middle East.
  • Must have 8 years’ experience delivering post-contract Commercial & Contract Management services on large-scale and complex GCC projects.
  • Must have a demonstrable ability to excel in client-facing roles. The Lead Cost Manager should have the professional poise and confidence to present and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
  • Must have experience working for a Cost Consultant or PMC on a variety of large-scale and complex developments - residential, hospitality, retail, infrastructure etc.
  • Strong knowledge of CostX measurement software.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the UAE supply chain and extensive knowledge of regional material suppliers.
  • Must have high-level analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate cost data effectively.
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline.
  • At least 12 years’ total experience (ideally 5 years in the Middle East) performing schedule analysis, construction cost control and cost impact analysis on projects.
  • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex project controls concepts.
