In 2025, Omnium celebrated 30 years of Quantity Surveying, Cost Consultancy, Commercial and Project Management in the UAE.
Since 1995, our team has supported the construction and expansion of some of the region’s most impressive structures. Our timeline explores how Omnium has grown with the UAE, building lasting partnerships that continue to shape the country’s communities.

We open our branch office, & first permanent UAE base, at 601 Al Hawai Tower in Dubai. As new relationships with Emaar develop, ground breaks at Dubai Marina to create one of the region’s first master planned waterfront communities.
Emaar launches its vision for Downtown Dubai, a new city centre that was set to become the most exclusive square mile of real estate in the world. Our team begins work on many of Downtown’s original towers, which form the city skyline today.
As Dubai reaches for the sky, so do we. We’re appointed as the sole QS to the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest freestanding structure that established Dubai as a global engineering powerhouse.
The Dubai Mall breaks ground. This destination mall is the world’s largest in terms of lettable space & has become a global retail & leisure landmark that welcomes over 100 million visitors annually. Creating a new desert community that remains ever-popular, construction begins on more than 4000 new villas & townhouses at Arabian Ranches.
We become Omnium International, changing our name to communicate our independence whilst maintaining the people, values & integrity at the core of the business.
Branch offices opened in Jeddah (2007) & Abu Dhabi (2009) strengthen our regional presence.
In just a few short years, construction begins on statement projects that firmly establish Dubai on the world stage.
260m-tall twin towers designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, connected by a spectacular sky bridge.
An 11 million sq.m. master plan comprising new communities, leisure, education & healthcare facilities.
A sustainable link between historic & modern Dubai, featuring the world’s largest cantilevered structure.

In addition to our new Riyadh branch in Saudi Arabia, Omnium strengthens our expertise internationally as our London office opens doors to new opportunities.
Omnium Resolve’s independent dispute resolution & claims management practice supports clients with proactive advice across all regions.
By 2023, Omnium is truly international. New offices in the Philippines & Lisbon strengthen our service delivery, & new Project Management expertise combines with Commercial Management to add value to major new developments.
