The Dubai Hills Estate, is a landmark new development for Dubai. Comprising multiple districts, with extensive leisure, education and healthcare facilities, the Dubai Hills Estate will create beautiful new communities for families, perfectly positioned with stunning views of the Downtown Dubai skyline. This master plan project, introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2012, will see bare land transformed into a new ‘city within a city’. Occupying 11 million square metres, the Dubai Hills Estate is a premium lifestyle community within Dubai which Omnium is delighted to develop in partnership with Emaar Properties and Meraas Holding.
This development will be instrumental as Dubai continues to grow and evolve, creating new tourism destinations and homes for thousands of families up to and beyond 2020. Omnium is pleased to lend significant expertise to the project through our Executive QS role, and we look forward to further building our relationships as the project progresses.
Now delivering around 80 packages of work across the extensive and constantly evolving Dubai Hills Estate site, Omnium has been involved in this joint venture between Emaar Properties and Meraas Holding since mid 2013, with an onsite presence led by Branch Director Charlie Harris since early 2014. Appointment to the project at its inception has enabled our team to establish strong working relationships during delivery of full pre- and post-contract QS services on the development which will eventually house over 2000 high-end residences, hotels, an 18-hole golf course, retail mall, public services such as police stations and a hospital and schools, all surrounded by extensive landscaping, as well as public transport infrastructure and business districts.
Our highly-regarded team at Dubai Hills Estate plays a central part in this development, delivering over 80 individual projects on site including villas, townhouses, apartments and the Dubai Hills Mall, together with unique public realm facilities at Central Park. Full QS services are supported by Omnium’s infrastructure QS team and our head office-based team of cost planners, working alongside mechanical, electrical and plumbing specialists and fixtures, fittings and equipment designers to deliver efficient and reliable costings to keep the project progressing on budget. Our close partnership with the client has enabled us to assume an Executive QS role, with responsibility for managing the overall master plan budget and overseeing costings for the whole project. Our team is delighted to be involved so closely in bringing the vibrant and diverse Dubai Hills Estate to life.

Charlie is based full-time onsite at Dubai Hills Estate, working alongside our client to deliver full pre- and post-contract services to the Dubai Hills development, as well as handling overall delivery and coordination of the project for the client in an Executive QS role.
